Humans have lived with MOLD since the beginning of time. BUT...

It's different today. Houses are built tighter with as little natural ventilation as possible to reduce heating & cooling costs.

New and sometimes untested building products can be used, sometimes with disastyerous results. Look at the recent STUCCO scare.

Water can get into a wall cavity from a leaking window, improperly sloped brick window ledge, uncaulked stucco joint, improper roof/wall flashing.

When water gets in and can;t get out, then Mr. Mold moves in.

Folks with compromised respiratory systems are particularly at risk.
