Today I start my new series, Neighborhood Synergy, with an eye on neighborhoods that are interesting for new home buyers.  In Northwest Indiana they are approximately 400 new home developments, could take me a while to focus on each one individually ... but it's worth a try.

Eagle Ridge was developed in 2005 Map to Eagle Ridgeby Strathmore Developments.  This community features 112 homesites and my current estimate is that about 80 of those homesites are sold.

Homes in Eagle Ridge, includiing the Synergy Homes model at the main entrance, range from $200,000 to $300,000.  One customer told me that they had to drive "very slow to watch for all the bikes and big-wheels on Saturday."  i love a terrific family neighborhood!

There are actually quite a few specs available currently for quick move-in.  This is definitely the best community for a relocation buyer, featuring municipal sewer and water, Chesterton (Duneland) schools, and a Valparaiso address.

Over at Synergy Thoughts I spotlight our Synergy Homes builder model, for sale right now.

Hey Steve, do you kow where South Haven is.  That is where I purchased my first home, on Piedmont drive I believe, heck that was in 1979.  Short time ago I know.  Nice post though.

Steve,

This is a great idea for a post.  I am looking forward to seeing what you have to say about different neighborhoods this will help with clients that may want these neighborhoods.

Bob, of course I know where South Haven is, it is right around the corner from Eagle Ridge.

South Haven is undergoing a bit of a resurgence, for the longest time it was getting rundown and heavy on rentals.  But I hear that South Haven is now "flipper" central for investors wanting to buy something, put in some elbow grease, and flip it to a first time home buyer.

South Haven is one of the only places in Porter County that a home buyer can take a look at a home for around $100,000.

Eagle Ridge sounds like a nice development.  I can picture in my mind driving slow for bikes and big wheels; we have lived in developments like that ourself.
