I think I am the luckiest person on the planet.  I do what I love.  Even though I can complain with the best of them, I am so lucky.  I know we are dealing with a trying marketplace but it will pass.  This will make you better at what you do.

Think about what you do, you help people find their dreams.  That is what it is, a dream.  When the reality sets in that a person has the ability to purchase their first home, you get to be a part of that.  How cool is that?  Everyone imagines the style, color, rooms amenities that their home will have.  No matter how big or how small there is a rush of excitement for everyone.  You get to be a part of that dream.

I always look at my first time home buyers and think how cute they are as they are getting the keys to their very first home.  I think it is one of the milestones of their lives and I am honored to be a part of it.  You, as their caring agent, will be a part of their memories for years to come.

I know we all have transactions that are not so happy, but I would say the happy transactions out weigh the not so happy transactions by a long shot.  I count my blessings everyday that I do what I love with people I love.

You are so right, I too love my job and being there to guide our clients through these nerve wracking times.  My favorite were seniors who I helped downsize out of their home of 40 odd years, they so needed guidance, and just so appreciated all I did for them, we are now friends today.

Rita, Good for you.  The seniors are so special too.  I think I just get tired of complaining all of the time, we do work in a fabulous industry.

I agree,  We are all blessed by being able to help someone find their dream.  I know I feel so extremely blessed as well. I am in the process of building my first home and I know how excited I am about it, and I am so excited to help someone else find the joy of buying their home!

I just have remind myself that it can be very special time but a very stressful time for my buyers and keep them calm until they get into their home!

Audrey thanks for the reminder.  I've been working harder and harder and it has been exhausting.  Sometimes I forget how lucky I am.  Yes, this is a good life!

Pat, oohh, 5th timers - they are special too ;)

Brady, that sounds so exciting.  It has happened to me too even though we work in this industry we still feel the same excitement.  Good for you and I hope your home is finished soon.

George, that is the mark of a true professional.  It is very frustrating to say the least and keeping calm is very important.  If the transaction gets out of control, then the memory may not be so good.

Nannette, I have had that all summer long.  I have wanted to tear my hair out, but then think we could be chained to a desk indoors all day long.  I do have to remind myself sometimes but overall I think we are lucky to help the folks that need us.

Audrey - We are pretty lucky... While real estate might make us batty at times, we are fortunate to work with some wonderful people!

Audrey, I too count my blessings every day.....I am fortunate enough to love what I do and help people--and they stay in contact!  And I know the people that get up every morning dreading going to work---we are truly the fortunate ones.

Audrey, I also feel blessed to do what I love.  It is such a blessing to help someone with what is probably the biggest investment they make.  I feel it is an honor.

Amen Audrey.  This is a great job...esepcially when you get to help first time home buyers.  And I've been blessed to help many this year.

Marchel, I agree and to think that we are part of their memories for a long time to come.

Christina, Thank you, I hope you didn't have a bad day.  I am glad you feel it was positive.

Chris Ann, I just love my first timers.  They are so excited and they make me smile when they get the keys and are proud of their accomplishment.

Audrey~ Amen Sister!  We truly do have the best job in the world!  How many people can actually say they truly LOVE THEIR JOB?  I can't even imagine doing anything else now....and it usually doesn't feel like "work" does it?
