Another grand opening for New Braunfels, TX. - EXTRA INNINGS

GREAT NEWS - EXTRA INNINGS IS NOW OPENED FOR BUSINESS.

Baseball and softball has always been an appreciated sport in New Braunfels. The opening of this new training facility will encourage even more enthusiasm for the sport.

This is great news since we have two grandson's that play baseball year round in a select league. This is going to be nice to have such a fine training facility in New Braunfels, TX.

This practice facility will allow the staff to provide professional instruction for training and a nationally recognized Pro Shop for baseball and softball players of all ages and ability level.

Extra Innings New Braunfels is the area's "one stop shop" for everything baseball and softball. The new facility, located at 2405 Lifehaus Industrial in New Braunfels, will feature 15,500 square foot facility with 22 foot ceilings.

This facility will have 7 multi-use retractable tunnels, a time operated batting cage, a workout area, individual training stations and a private party area.

Extra Innings Training Centers are unique in the marketplace. Each facility, regardless of size, offers year-round practice facilities for ballplayers of all ages and ability levels, professional instruction.

Hi Carl, I'm sure you have mixed feelings about all the growth in New Braunfels. The new "Extra Innings" is going to be a nice addition to the area. I've never been to one, will have to stop in there once it's opened.

Hey Judi - Thanks for stopping. We will have to get a pic of the facility once it is completely finished. Seems everytime we turn around something new is opening in New Braunfels. The grandkids are really into sports and will be glad to have the batting cages to use for practice. I would rather they play baseball;not as many injuries like football. Between sports and hunting ad school that keeps them pretty busy.

Dale - The kids are gong to love having the facility in New Braunfels but it is a pretty good drive from where they live to N.B. They do have to travel to play their games to smaller towns in the area. Daulton is in H.S. now so he is on the school team during the school year. He is really hoping he can get a baseball scholarship. He has been playing since T-Ball days.

Carl, these must be getting popular we have something like that being built here in Tomball. I guess I need to check it out once it opens up.

Marchel - From what I understand this one coming in New Braunfels is a franchise and they are building them throughout the country. I'm really surprised they are putting one in N.B. I guess they have done their homework and can see that it is a growing area.

Wow! Pretty amazing baseball facilities! So not like what we had when I was a kid which was more like a sorry looking field in the middle of nowhere.

Carl, Great post! What side of town is Extra Innings on? Can old folks like me go hit a few? Do you bring your own bat and ball? I have lots of questions- are they going to send you free tickets?

Judi - Well I guess we are being found on the internet through Localism.com. It was nice of them to respond.

Ricki - The kids are excited to know this facility will be in N.B. Our Daulton, now 15 and Garrett 12 love baseball. Now little fellow age (soon to be 6) just completed his first year in T-Ball so I'm sure they will be getting business from the Winters family.

Mary Jo - The way I understand the Grand Opening will be open to the public; probably locals. I'll have to check with Lea and find out more details. Now about "old folks" ummmm; I'll ask.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our scheduled grand opening for Aug. 23rd has been delayed. We will still open our doors at 10am on the 23rd to anyone who would like to come by for a sneak preview of the facility. For anyone who would like to pre-book a birthday party, or sign up for one of our 'Player Packs', we will be offering them on this day at 10% off the regular price. We apologize for this setback and ask that you keep an eye on our website and/or myspace page for the new scheduled grand opening date.

To answer some of the questions above, all folks, old and young :) can come and use our facility. We have machines that can be ran manually or you can use our automated machine; all machines regardless of type have speed controls so yes Mary Jo, even the old folks can have some fun! We do supply bats and helmets as well as pitching machine style balls however you are more than welcome to bring your own gear.

We are located right off of I35 and FM306. You take exit 191 towards Canyon Lake and we are the second right (Lifehaus Industrial Drive). Our street is located across from NBU and we are positioned across from the Fed Ex hub. Carl is correct in that our grand opening, once it actually takes place will be open to the public and usage of the entire facility will be free on that day.

We will be having our ribbon cutting today (11:30) so look for our photo to be in the New Braunfels paper as well as the paper distributed by the Chamber of Commerce. We will do our best to keep y'all updated via this blog and maybe we can link you to some photos of the progress.
