Are You Hitting On All Cylinders?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Corvette ConceptIn today's rush rush lifestyle of the real estate professional we can do more to optimize our lives, to

       RUN ON ALL CYLINDERS.

Not getting enough out of your day, or dropping too many balls? Try a few of these tips:

1) Systematize - put in place systems to automate the tasks you repeatedly do.

2) De-clutter and organize - in every area of your life. Even if you are not a neat nick or file folder kind of person, delegate this to someone who can. Less clutter equals more energy in your life.

3) Work with priorities - get out that to do list and make sure you are going down it with what you want to accomplish for the day. It is so easy to fritter time away with the stupid stuff.

4) Stay educated - make time for education a lot. It is like sharpening your axe while cutting trees. A trick or another tip you learn somewhere can prove invaluable to you to keep humming along at top speed.

5) Be physical - Shake that body. A healthy and fit body which is fueled by good food purrs like a smooth engine for you throughout your day. Try to get the sleep you need,

6) Be incredibly social - Talk to everyone. Check with your friends and your social network daily and on an ongoing basis. This is a good way to spend your emotional energy and it creates a vast support system for the days when you will really need it.

7) Finally REFLECT - there are times in your life you need to be quiet and reflect and ask yourself how is all this working? Are you happy? Is it time for a change? Don't be judgmental with your answers to yourself. Just be honest. Bounce your thoughts off those great friends you created in your social network.

With a few tips here and there your eight cylinder Corvette will be roaring down the highway with the top down and your hair blowing in the wind. Keep it fine tuned and ready to attack each day with all the gusto you surely deserve. And wear a Yellow shirt or blouse to match your car. It will let everyone know that you are taking on the day in style.

I've been trying to de-clutter this week, but for now it's just more cluttered!

Teri: I think with the stacks in getting them reduced, we just have to do chunks of them at a time. I am embarassed to admit it but one time the clutter in a garage I worked on, it took me two and a half months to clean it out. It was from years of build up. This is not an easy area for any of us but does so much add to our energy.

Don: Your clutter photo might when the prize until maybe I show you mine. : )

Hi Pam: Maybe this isn't your week for de-cluttering. There's always tomorrow or next week. But then the piles get higher and wider. Ever think you are building Mount Clutter ??? : )

Gary, great advice. I think with age some of these traits are more important :). I also practice - "every thing has a place" in the office and at home!

Pam: You know, I always have you in my life to keep me honest. I was thinking of stealing something like Susan's idea with the characters using Active Rain members. That was pretty creative and got the juices flowing. She is such the master of Members Only, surely I can do a measly one a week. I'll put my brain back in gear. Thanks Pam.

Gary, I like members only because they tend to spiral down the naughty path.  But thanks for the compliment.  TLW is the Queen of members only!

Susan: You're still my Queen, sweetie.

Jim: Don't stop the blogging, you're too good. Just find a way to give yourself a tune up in all the areas.

Chris Ann: Exercise (and sleep) are highly underrated for you purring along. Work them into your schedule.

Cathy: Education and quiet time are overlooked too often as well and add as you said to our health and harmony at home.

I have been putting off cleaning and organizing for too long now - I know I will be more productive and focused when I take care of that business.  This is a great reminder that I committed to myself to get it done this weekend. Number 3 is a big one for me - more time spent on income producing activities!

Dan: As you pick up the new trends in your research, when it is the appropriate time you can share that with all of us on Active Rain. I am sure it would be beneficial to us.

Kathleen: Organizing sets a foundation for moving on to the priorities. Good luck with all your focused effort.

Sondra: Well if I bring by the yellow car we'll take if for a spin. Just find a good restaurant for us. You know them all. 7 p.m. sharp LOL.

Teresa: When Sondra is eating dessert I'll come over and get you. I think we should all take a spin in a Corvette at least once in our life.
