Highlands Ranch Pets - Coyotes and Pets - not a good combination
It has been said before, but there are numerous pets in Highlands Ranch Colorado. And there are also large open areas and within these open areas there are large numbers of coyotes.
Recently we have received reports of lost pets (to HighlandsRanchPets.com) and heard of numerous pets, especially cats being lost (including our own Isis).
We have seen Coyote Road Kill and have chatted with neighbors (specifically those that live near the open areas) in Highlands Ranch. They say, they see coyotes with cats and bunnies in their mouths daily. There are also plenty of bunnies to go around. So the coyotes have lots of food. The Coyotes are also known to venture close to homes and look for food.
Having said that... We do live with nature and with all of it's wonderful creatures, but for us pet owners living in Highlands Ranch, it may be wise to keep your pets, especially cats and small dogs indoors.
Also, for dogs, there are several dog parks in Highlands Ranch, where you can let your puppy run free (unleashed) - well, to an extent - in a fenced in area.

If you have lost or found a pet, you can report them at the Highlands Ranch Pets Community and hopefully reunite the lost pets with their owners again.
