Northwest Arkansas goes Modern

The natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas is undeniable. However, the architecture of the region is equally as important. There more and more modern architecture popping up around the region. Fayetteville in particular has always been progressive when it comes to things like planning, development, and architecture.

This looks like a cool hotel... sort of a trendy "IKEA meet Howard Johnsons" concept! :)

We're supposed to get one here in Dallas too!

Steve Yeah I think they're expanding pretty rapidly. I had never heard of a W Hotel the first time I stayed in Chicago's. They are fabulous!

Anthony: I would think that if you made a nice color copy of this post, and took it to the new hotel, and showed it to them... they would be so excited about you promoting them... they would give you a free weekend of your choice at the hotel. Give it a try !

Rick I've only stayed at a W Hotel once - Lakeshore Drive in Chicago. They are sleek, sophisticated, and well appointed. It's a treat!

Stewart Yes, it's nice that more of us common folk can now stay in a W concept :)

This place is so cool! We would drive by as they were building it, and I kept trying to figure out what they were building on top of it. Was it some fancy helecopter landing pad, some sort of fancy apartment - nope, a really cool sign.

Matthew & Sandy Haha! The building itself is so clean & simple. They've used color, signage, and landscaping to make it pop. That's pretty smart..... in 10 years they can come back and retrofit the building with new elements and it will be modern again without spending thousands and thousands to change the structure.
