I love reading about unique aspects of the cities and towns that you all live and work in.  These types of posts will help you as you focus locally and try to drill down to become a local market expert.  I don't care if you are nationally based, it's always better to have a target, and geography is an easy one.

It might take some time but the more you all write about these things the better you will see your blog doing.

Focusing on a particular place, or structure makes for easier writing. The subjects have a story ready to be written.  Even if you don't know the story you'll learn something which can only help you more in understanding and explaining the interesting things about the architecture around you.

Again the more you do it, the better you will do.

And winner is Jennifer Martin!

Runners up:   Ben Kakimoto and Sharon Simms.

This "Dings" blog-share was fun for me. I want to thank everyone who participated.

This was a great idea, Caleb. Fun to do, and fun to read what other people did. I'm surprised there weren't more entries. Maybe you need to plan a Dings II.

I felt divided on where I wanted my local market. I do live in Richmond but have lived in Lexington as well. I decided to base AR profile in Lexington because of houses in a higher $$$ range for my business. Selling a house is a whole lot better than selling a trailer.

And winner is Jennifer Martin! Congratulations! Good choice, Caleb!

Sharon Simms commented on my post... "Why don't you do a series of train station/depot shots - it would be an interesting chronicle of our country."  Every one could post about their own train station.

Hi Margaret, I like that idea actually (the trains).

We had a Indiana History Train Ceremony late last year (it was cold) and I participated by "manning (womanning) a booth" and educating the school kids that came through on the particular settlement. The organization kept us in continuous supply of coffee, hot cocoa and soup. I had a great time and I will have to share some updates on the new "Depot" Tourist Station they've put in over in Jasper Indiana. Future plans have it taking folks to the casino and I have even heard it going to the Huntingburg Downtown Antique Merchants.
