• As far as recreation is concerned there are 18 tot lots, 2 pools, 2 indoor fitness facilities, 2 community centers, 6 tennis courts and 22 miles of hiking or jogging trails.

Kingstowne is almost equidistant between the Franconia-Springfield metro station and the Van Dorn Metro station. It is approximately 10 minutes to the Capital Beltway at I-495 and approximately 15 minutes to the Springfield Interchange.  The VRE station is located at the Franconia-Springfield Metro station and you can access the Fairfax County Parkway in about 5 minutes.  Fort Belvoir is approximarely 10 minutes from Kingstowne.  Both the proximity of metro rail and the VRE make commuting to the Pentagon and Washington, D.C. very easy.
