I was reading a post the other day by Maureen McCabe about Old Media New Media and was challenged to do some research of my own.

Maureen pointed out that she was beginning to see a trend in the Ohio market that several people in the media were beginning to twitter. She posed the question, Does the media in your market Twitter?

So, the research began to see who and what media twitters are here is what I found:

For our TV media these outlets have shown up:

@abc3340

@nbc13

@cbs42

Our local FOX affiliate is a no show so far.

Radio:

@MyFoxFinebaum - He hasn't posted in a while! I think it may have just been a follower and not the actual Paul Finebaum.

Print:

@Birmingham_News

@BirminghamPost

@LipstickBhm - a lorcal ladies magazine

WebMedia:

@aldotcom

@bhamterminal - a local news and conversation hub

Actual people... ZERO! none!

SO.... Birmingham media, if you happen to run across this little post and feel like you need to be added to the list, please let me know in the comments below and I will get you added promptly.

* for those who do not know... Twitter is microblogging where you, get to share "What are you doing?" to create a conversation.

UPDATE: I just found out that one of our local news weathermen James Spann is there. @spann

Stephen, i did not realize that you ran in such high circles on Twitter. The master of sports talk radio Paul Finebaum and the  Doppler radar Dynamo James Span are on Twitter. I guess I should have listened earlier.
