What does hope look like? Maybe just like this ...

By

Ya know, there are some days that require us to push ourselves to the limit.  And when we do that we tend to be a little out of sorts, grumpy and lose a little of our perspective on the world.

And then when we call it a day we return home - wherever that might be - and there it is.

HOPE.

Pure and simple HOPE for the future.

It's the sparkle in the eyes, the impish grin.  The unmitigated bravery to tackle new tasks - and challenge the theories of balance.  A level of daring that defines immortality - or at least the illusion of such.

HOPE.  It's in the faces ...

The simple smiles, the silly antics ... provide all the reasons we do what we do - everyday.

We are their hope.  And it's quite a responsibility.

(**these are not my children - but they spend an awful lot of time at my house!)

Actually, Carol, as far as I knew... Hope was a smallish town in Arkansas just about forty miles from the western edge of the state... which puts it forty miles east of Texarkana, Texas.  Which of course means that Hope... is what brought us Bill Clinton... :)  I actually stayed there at the Hope Holiday Inn one night... just so I could say that I did... LOL.  Take care... cute post, by the way.

Karen Anne - I think I like my version of Hope better.  LOL  These two little ones can keep me laughing for hours.  They never run out of silly things to do.  Actually a great 'remedy' to an otherwise crappy day.  :)

Carol, I like your version of HOPE better too!LOL! Adorable children, and I believe children are the greatest reason TO have hope.

Debbie - Thanks!  They are both adorable - but a real handful.  Being 6 and 4 they are at that "why" age.  Every time I say something I hear "Why?" in unison.  It's actually funny!  :)

Carol, I remember the "why" days and I loved them.  Yes, they can wear you out but those children are all gorgeous....and filled with hope!  Loved your post.

Hi Carol...What can I say other than, "lucky you".  What a treat to have them around on the not so great days.

What beautiful kids.  Even though their not yours, you are very lucky to have them "hanging around" all the time.  Thanks for the great post!
