Copper Mountain Real Estate Development

Copper Mountain, CO - Since 2001 the senior leadership at Intrawest has been in heated discussion regarding the continued development of Copper Mountain Resort.  After completing over 500 residential units and tens of thousands of square feet of commercial space in 2001 the development came to a halt.  With the exception of several townhomes in the Union Creek area at Copper, Intrawest was reluctant to continue with their large scale reconfiguration of the resort until the Summit County Board of Commissioners signed off on critical changes to the already approved density.

This week the BOCC unanimously approved the PUD putting Intrawest in the driver's seat of the development at Copper Mountain.  A complete outline of the PUD and the amendments can be found at Copper Colorado PUD.

It is rumored that the real estate at Copper Mountain is slated for some aggressive appreciation over the next 60 months as Intrawest starts down the road to the completion of Copper Mountain Resort.
