I'm a loan officer which means that I act between lending institutions and borrowers. In the process, there is alot of paperwork! One way Ive found to cut down on costs (and trees) is to user internet/email faxes. Here are some guides and reviews on internet fax services: ring central
RapidFax

eFax

I find the easiest, best and most reliable method to deliver documents is by scanning and attaching as a .pdf document. I would not be surprised that fax machines go the way of the dinosaur and the cassette tape.

I use e-fax and have found it to be very useful!

I use efax to send and receive. I receive everything as a pdf file which makes it easy to forward.  i too think that stand alone fax machines should just go away and will be glad when they do.

Welcome to active rain.

Thanks for your comments guys.

I do find it easier to send pdfs with emails, but sometimes it has to be done (legal contracts for example)

Congratulations on becoming a new member of ActiveRain. Being a new member myself going on my second week and only posting a few blogs so far I truly see the awsome advantage that this is; and only the beginning of a healthy and wealthy relationship of abundant professionals. Everyone has been so very kind.   Best of Luck to all of us,  Nance
