I am certainly trying to get info on how to tap into this market - I would love to get involved in this market - also, I have yet to get to do a BPO and would also like any info on this topic that anyone could share with me --- also, can anyone give me any advice on how to get involved in the "pre-forclosure" business! I spoke with someone the other day and this sounds like it could be great also - The way I have heard it is that most of the banks have their connection with the realtors already and it is hard to get "your foot in the door" - Any advice will certainly be so appreciated --- Thanks and have a great weekend!

Im definitely parked here for comments. I have and still want to get some REO Listings. But like you said,some banks have relationships with some real estate professionals that its hard to get them. Norma- The best way for you to start doing BPO's and REO's is to search for these companies on the internet and sign up with them. I have been doing both for quite a few years and I started out by going to the internet and typing in REO,BPO,Valuation, etc. I came across a lot of different companies to sign up with. I also do REO's for Banks and also bank owned properties. You can call the default departments and find out how you can get in with the banks.
It may be slow at first, but it will pick up. Hope this helps some.

Good questions! I hope you get lots of good answers since I'll be checking on them as well. I did sign up with Ocwen (VA foreclosures) a long while back. It took them 5 months to get back to me and tell me they got my application. It took another couple of months to sign up and do the live training, now is sit and wait. Nothing has happened so far. You'd think with all the foreclosures out there, a record high, somebody will need help selling them...

Norma this was the list that I was talking about. Someone here on Active Rain wrote this blog.
