Colorado agents... can you relate??? My recent listings have been naked since they've gone on the market - that is - NO SIGN! With our lovely drought (it HAS been a beautiful summer!), yards are as hard as concrete and no amount of pounding, jumping or swearing is gonna get that Red, White and Blue sign in the ground more than a half an inch.

But now... after our weekend monsoon... Yippeeeeee! My listings are now properly attired!!!!

We are awaiting a rain dowsing hurricane down here.  Yippeeee!  How about some round-up on that drive way?

I'll be thinking of ya! This is the coolest house, but it's a short sale-heading-for-foreclosure, so it does need a little love...

Maybe you can paint the garage door with your loga and for sale sign.  After it sells install a new garage door!  It may generate some local publicity and help find you a buyer - I'd also encourage the sellers to do some landscape maintanence - curb appeal you know

We have all had the cement, dirt and concrete, front yard and the sign in the window doesn't seem to do the trick. We have sign ordinances in some of the cities I serve and it is hard to adapt to each. I feel your pain...

Yeah... similar problem in South Aurora, where we have hard clay to deal with.  I actually take a sledge hammer with me when I install signs.  I look like THOR...except much much smaller.

Glad you are going to be able to dress your listings.  Maybe a quick hedge clipper would also do wonders!,  I know its hard to fathom spending money or our sweat equity on our short sale listings, however, it is you on the sign in the yard, Best of luck

Like Stefan, I bring my trusty sledge hammer.  It comes in very handy in the winter as well.

I have had the sledge hammer riding in the back of the car all summer to make sure my listings get pounded into the ground. At last we can use the old boot and some good old fashioned leverage to get them into the ground.

Same way here in Texas..I have been tempted to get me two bales of hay so I would have something heavy enough to not fly away, that I could run the sign legs through. I assume they would go through...but haven't tried it yet.

We don't sell bank owned property. Our client's water their lawn. Can't relate...   :-)

LOL

Very cute post. Water is a great thing. Besides making the sign easier to get in the ground, well green looks better than brown.

We have that issue in the winter months, in New England.  Maybe, one of the reasons that spring market it always good:)
