my beautiful wife, the mortgage pro Good afternoon fellow ActiveRainers. From now on, this blog will be co-authored by Michael and Karen George.

As most of Karen's regular readers are aware, Karen did 90% of the writing and I (Michael George) acted as her assistant...giving her ideas to write about when she had the occasional writer's block.

Occasionally, I would write a post. I think I wrote about 4 or 5 of the hundred posts Karen wrote. So hopefully, those of you that enjoyed Karen's posts will also enjoy mine. We were connected at the hip and write in a similar fashion.

As of now however, it is difficult for Karen to write. She still wants to be involved in the online community. She wants to read posts (and she does) but leaving comments is tough. Her hands aren't working well.

However, for those of you that know about Karen's fight with breast cancer... Well, you should know that she is fighting very hard right now. I am not going to write a great deal about it here, but to those that are friends of Karen, please contact me at karen.george@azwm.com and I will fill you in.

Michael, it is good to hear from you. Please give Karen a big hug, let her know she continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike I am so sorry to hear the news about Karen. I have read a few other posts today and the news does not sound good. I am praying for her, you and your family.

I've been reading Karen's blog since I started on AR late last September. I wrote something about medical insurance and responded to a post of hers about medical insurance. We emailed back and forth. My father is currently in a battle with stage 4 colon cancer and he fights on. I'm sorry that things have become so difficult for her - I know the fight is long and hard. Give her a virtual hug from me.

My only regret is that I did not have the opportunity to meet and get to know Karen. It is apparant that Karen was a special person to so many here at AR and that she will be surely missed. Michael, I just found out tonight of Karen's passing. Karen was a fighter and she fought bravely. She was a very, very special lady and she will be sorely missed.

Like others, we continue to keep Michael and the family in our prayers. While Karen fought valiantly against this evil monster called cancer, her young body was just too frail to continue. When Karen passed away, I envision she was swept up by Angels and taken "home" to live an eternity without pain and suffering.

Michael, I didn't know Karen and I'm sure she didn't know me, but I have read a few of her blog entries in the past and they always made me smile. I had no idea she had cancer and am deeply saddened for your loss. I cannot even imagine losing my best friend to cancer.

Karen ` my prayers are with you! I am a recent survivor of cervical cancer with 7 bouts of therapy. I recently had a brain tumor removed that was linked. Im scheduled for one radiation treatment and the outlook looks bright. I've found that a positive attitude and prayer has alot to do with my speedy recovery! Call me anytime!
