On the south side of the I-215 Beltway between Arroyo Grande and Pecos, lies Green Valley Ranch, one of Henderson Nevada's most popular master planned communities. Development of the project began in the mid 90's and today the 1,310-acre site is comprised of 31 villages with over 4,000 homes and more than 10,000 residents.

Four parks and a greenbelt of walking trails provide plenty of natural recreational activities. For more organized options, the Henderson Multigenerational Center offers aerobics, basketball, a jogging track, and indoor and outdoor pools. Cultural needs are met by the center's art gallery as well as the nearby Paseo Verde Library and the Henderson Pavilion which hosts outdoor festivals, theatre and concerts.

A wide array of shopping and dining choices are available in the mixed-use community of The District at Green Valley Ranch. Shoppers can browse at Sharper Image, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Jos. A. Bank Clothier, and several other boutique shops. When it's time for a meal, diners can enjoy the fare at Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, and The Cheesecake Factory, or just grab a quick bite at La Salsa, Panera Bread, or Ben & Jerry's. If the action at The District isn't enough, the world-famous Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa & Casino is right next door.

Homes in the Green Valley Ranch resale market range from 2-bedroom, 1200 square foot models in the low 200's to 6-bedroom, 7800 square foot estates priced over $2.8 million. Condos and townhomes are also available, including a limited number of flats and lofts at The District. Green Valley Ranch is where I call home! I couldn't imagine living anywhere else in the valley except maybe MacDonald Highlands but I just can't seem to find any homes in my price range :)
