In an effort to increase the breadth of posts that are read by our members we've made a slight change to the Blog Dashboard today. Going forward the default setting will be set to show "All" posts instead of "Featured" posts. "Featured Posts" will continue to show on the index page, "ActiveRain.com", or can be accessed by clicking on "Featured" just under the "Blog Posts" Header on the blog dashbaord.

Thanks, It was such a hassle to click "most recent" and "All".  :)

You might want to make those choices more visible.  For some reason, it took me awhile before I realized I could make those changes.

I like this change.  Should make it easier in the long run to keep up with my reading.  ALso should help expose all to areas of AR they haven't really taken a good look at.

Jonathan-- can I make a suggestion?  If you said "sure", than this is what it is:  "Draft" posts should be dated when they go up, not when they are started, in my opinion.  If I started something a week ago, and just needed to do a little research first...and then I posted it: I'll be buried as an old post.  Just a little feedback.  Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the update and the change, Jonathan. The broader exposure by default makes sense. It's certainly easy enough to select the posts by groupoing if you want to just see featured, etc.

Hey Jonathan, Looks good to me. Glad I found your post,. I was confused!!! Of course it doesn't take much to get me confused:) BTW when I just looked at it, it looked like the posts were be duplicated(showing up twice)

As bizarre as it was to see the unfeatured posts on the board this morning, I think this is a really good idea and should work out quite well.  

Now if you post listings, market reports and advertising in the professional category I am certain that you will receive plenty of comments informing you of your error.

Jonathon, Ditto.....that will work. My curiosity is how to manage this at a 50,000 membership. I'm certain that all the great minds at AR are already contemplating that!

Jonathon, I noticed the change first thing when I thought I was loosing my mind. I was thinking "how are so many posts getting featured that it's scrolling so quickly and why in the world is this one featured." I think it's a great change though and hopefully will promote reading of more posts by more Rainers.
