Our reputations are everything in this business.  The industry doesn't have the highest estimation in the eyes of the public.  Try as we may with a great code of ethics, Realtors still do make mistakes.  We have a responsibility to each other to do the best that we can to prevent mistakes.  And when we do make a mistake, to find a graceful and honest way to remedy the situation.

Mortgage professionals, as part of our industry, should be held to the same high standards.  A liar or crook will not get repeat business.

Taking the high road?  Should I remove it or leave it?  I want a public apology.  What's your opinion?

LEAVE IT!!  I meant that he could have handled it better, not that you should have brushed it under a mat.

Just changed the title for clarification.

It will stay up for now.  I wrote to Ben and offered to take it down.  I've also asked for him to be removed from the system.

I really don't care to wallow around in the mud with his kind, but it has been fun....

Yeah, Sara found her second wind when this all blew up.  Poor Matt and Caleb, missing THE most controversial evening on AR in the month that I have been here.

Maureen, you must "tag" this one "plagiarism" or somthing!

As far as Matt and Caleb being gone, isn't that always the way?  When the cat's away, the mice will play.  :)

Maureen,

On our company website all the agents have profiles. It's a template with bullet points. An agent that I like, totally copied one of my bullet points. I never said anything to her - I just changed my bullet points instead - I came up with an even better one. She no longer works at my company.

It's really too bad that the things that went down yesterday on AR occured.  It makes us all look bad.  If it were up to me, it would be harder to become involved in the real estate industry.  There would be fines to the people who do things that hurt us all.
