OH NO! I did not just lose that BLOG!

Education & Training with REALTOR & CEO The 3B Method Seminars

EEEEEK! Have just spent that last 30 minutes working on what I thought was a very informative Blog about Fair Housing Ads for my AR family...I was taught early on by the Best Blogger in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD - Not just the AR world but the whole wide world "Brad Anderson" to work on blogs in WORD and save them. Of course, I did not listen and logged right in to start on a fresh new thought on a 27 page list of words that I wanted to give you! My picture post is being blogged I mean BLOCKED for some reason and in trying to allow pop-ups - CLICK AND ZAP - My completed work of words was "POOF" gone...I mean I had even spell checked and everything!

Oh well! So before I try again tonight here goes some serious blogging advice from me!

LISTEN TO BRAD ANDERSON and

              type in WORD 1st!

Save and then upload!

If you want the 27 page list - hang around for 30 more minutes and I will rewrite the darn thing with or without fun and creative pictures!

...or just go to bed, have sweet dreams

and find it tomorrow in blog land!

Or just try posting a couple paragraphs at a time - then save.  Works wonders.  So sorry you lost you post.

Liz,

The sad thing is I have learned that lesson many more times than once.

I have even accidently deleted a post when I tried to fine tune a post a couple days later by touching up some part in the HTML code.

I copy and paste in word frequently when revising a post, and save frequently in Draft view.

It has happened to us all.

Richard

I'm in! I've subscribed to your blog so that I don't miss the re-post. Sounds like a good one!

Hi Liz, can't wait to see it!  Nothing is by mistake, only by DESIGN!  I'm certain it will be worth waiting for.  Thanks for all of your help, and for believing in me!

ALL OF THE ABOVE:

GARY: :) You are my night bird friend!

DEBBIE: I love your state!

MARY: Love Las Vegas too!

Debbie: Hope you are safe in FL - we are watching Faye carefully!

Richard: You must live on the edge like me! Will we ever learn?

Vickie: Never meant this to be a bait and switch but glad you subscribed!

It really is awful! I am done but the 1st draft was much better. I lost my fun and humor in rewriting it! However, the message is out there and I hope it will help someone realize how easy it is to make ad mistakes without really doing it intentionally...Thanks for understanding and supporting me!

Hey - I guess I should admit I went right back into the blog and started writing again - NOT IN WORD! I guess that is living on the edge for me! wow - I am not so exciting anymore! lol

LIZ - I ALWAYS use Word.  Active Rain is far too quirky to rely on.  You cannot hit the back button, or everything will be lost.  Having all posts in Word also ensures that I have a copy of all of my work if Active Rain goes down.

Same happened to me so I agree with just writing a few paragraphs at a time.

Adam: I am going to make it my new rule! Great point as well for keeping your docs in order!

Scott: I should work on just doing smaller blogs! I seem to be blogging full page magazine articles - Who has time to read that? Thanks for stopping by! Thanks for stopping by!
