This blog came up while I was reading one of Brian Brady's blogs:

I may be new here but it seems like there is a pretty consistent group of fun and interesting bloggers/commenters here on AR.  Everyone seems to get along and loves to share ideas for the most part (except for maybe a plagarism arguemnt or two).  So my question is, when will there be the 1st Annual AR Meet and Greet Convention?  We can all hang out for a day, exchange some cards and some stories, have a little food and a little drink, and just take it easy, like a mini vacation.  Most of you seem decent and fun to me, I think it would be fun.  It seems that CA and FL are the two biggest AR states respectively, so maybe a separate East Coast/West Coast party.  I think we can all appreciate that people in the real estate field, with all the mixers, chamber dinners, rotaries, etc. know how to have a party.  Anyone else up for it?

Adam

I believe that Jim Lee has proposed that people meet up at the NAR convention in New Orleans.  That is probably the easiest way to get a group together.

Or maybe we can all meet in the middle of the country. Say...IOWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Regardless of that, it sounds like a great idea.

I think Bryant Tutas had a blog on this a couple of weeks ago, suggesting Hawaii. I can't find the link right now, but it was separate from Nashville. I think Florida in February for the East Coast, or Cape Cod in September or October. The West Coast can pick their favorites. Then a separate one in say Michigan for all., Karen

Las Vegas or New Orleans are two amazing convention cities.

I like the idea of New Orleans in November.  I'd rather pump that economy than Vegas (which has taken enough of the Brady fortune already).

Of course, the excitement of a parallel "convention" during NAR convention is oh so counter-cultural cool; kind of like Active Rain.

Here is the link to NAR convention in New Orleans (just click on the word link).

The Saints will be in Pittsburgh but I want to hang around and watch that game on Bourbon Street with their amazing fans...WHO DAT?
