By
Real Estate Agent with Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty

Join Burgdorff ERA on October 16, 2008 for the Sharing Hope Gala “An Evening in Monte Carlo”. Proceeds will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of New Jersey and the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey.

Last year, Burgdorff ERA’s Gala Event raised $25,000 for New Jersey's Children. This year, we’re hoping to break that record. The Sharing Hope Event will be held on October 16th from 6:30 to 11:00 pm at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ. Tickets are $100. The event will have a silent auction and other fundraising activities including a tricky tray drawing featuring magnificent themed baskets organized by the Burgdorff ERA offices.

If you would like to purchase tickets to this event, make a donation or donate a gift or service, please contact Caroline Gosselin at Caroline-Gosselin@burgdorff.com or at (973) 985-6117.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation® grants wishes to children who have a diagnosed illness considered to be life-threatening. A wish is only limited by the child's imagination, according to the Foundation, and includes the immediate family living in the same home. Wishes can vary widely; from a specially-arranged breakfast with Winnie-the-Pooh at Disney World or swimming with the dolphins off the coast of Kona, Hawaii, to meeting a favorite athlete. This allows the child and immediate family a short respite from long hospital visits and difficult treatments. The Foundation works directly with the Wish child and the family, enabling the child to help plan the wish, anticipate its arrival, live the wish to the fullest extent, and create cherished memories that will sustain them and their families. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of New Jersey, Inc. is part of a nationwide, nonprofit CASA network of more than 70,000 volunteers. CASA of New Jersey works to ensure that the state's abused and neglected children in out-of-home placement (approximately 12,000 each year) may find permanent homes in safe and nurturing environments. Local CASA programs recruit, screen, train, and supervise community volunteers appointed by Family Court judges to advocate on behalf of individual children in foster care, group homes, or residential facilities.
