Mortgage and Lending with Saprinc Corp

Hi guys,

I had an interesting talk with a Realtor from Active Rain yesterday who informed me that she is considering removing her phone number from Active Rain.  This is because she is getting constant calls from Loan Officer and Mortgage Brokers try to solicit her buyer leads.  When is the annoyance going to stop?  Active Rain as made it easy for us to share and correspond on the site.  Why do you find the need to eat up people cell phone minute and annoy them for business?  This is one marketing tack-tic I will never employ because I hate to be telemarketed in any form.  So if I can avoid it I will..........STOP IT

Good morning Caryll,

I am a loan officer here in Connecticut and I remember starting out in the business in 2003 and I remember emailing like 1,000 realtors and only 2 or 3 replying with I am working with someone already.  997 did not reply at all !!!  So it has been almost 4 years later.  I had my assistant do a mailer to all the agents in the Real Estate Book for Fairfield County, not one person called me or did anything.  I am confident to say that you will never catch me calling a realtor because not having an email responded to or direct mailer responded to is enough.  I wouldn't want to come ear to ear with a realtor that will be nasty and say no.

Do a lot of realtors get calls?  I never had the GUTS to call them directly and ask for business.  Good blog, interesting.

Always,

Nima

I don't think this young lady understands the concept of "networking"

I think the answer would be to remove youe number from:

1- ActiveRain

2- Your website

3- The yellow pages

4- Your business crad

5- etc., etc, etc.

I understand your frustration but make no mistake about it, this site is for me to do business.

Spectators should stay in the stands.

Brian is right.  I would talk to folks I KNOW from AR.  BUT remember The Rules.  Be politie, ask if you are calling at a good time.  If not, understand and hang up.

I get at least 10 calls a day from solicitors.  I hate wasting my time like that.  Yes, many times I hang up on them.  It's the only way to stop the conversation.  It's not a human thing to do, but it's the only solution.

Most of my calls are from SEO-types who can get me better position.  hahaha

I tell them the Internet is a fad and it will never work.

I have been getting a lot of spam since joining AR.  I guess you have to take the bad with the good.
