My team double crossed me.  Sure Favre was a waffling back and forth too old, but not too old player who can probably play for another 100 years, but his mind keeps getting in the way.  Favre waffles more than a those seen in a pancake house.  The team moved on, but Brett didn't.  The bottom line is that Brett allows them the chance to have that super bowl run now.  That's just a fact.

But Brett made his dug his grave and the Pack sent him to the cemetary where the Jets own the plots.

An interesting thing happened.  Brett performed exceedingly well in his game with the Jets.  In his limited time he was 5 of 6 with a touchdown and no interceptions.  Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand, remains the consummate professional moving forward with exceptional potential as GB's front man.  His pre-season looks solid so far.

Ted Thompson and Mark Murphy admit that they screwed the pooch with the way they handled the whole FAVRE debacle.  Needless to say, I am starting to believe that things are working out for both parties.  The Rodger's questions are apparent, but clear.

1)  Can he take them all the way to the Super Bowl this year?  I doubt it, but that's what Brett could have done so the comparisons, fair or not, we be against that.

2)  Can he stay healthy?  He's been a poor specimen of health since he's been there.  I hope that he can stay durable, but especially this year while his backups learn our system.  Manning and Brady are already proving that they don't have the same durability of old number $.

My hope is that Rodgers can ride the horse into the playoffs and make a little noise.  I'd love for him to deep in the playoffs and not be rattled.  There is something to be said for riding the bench for the first 3 years.  We'll see Packer fans...we'll see.

Hey, Larry

Go Bears

I think Brett should have taken the 20 million and ran like a girl, but that is me.  Orton all the way - Gotta love those Purdue Boys

Larry ~ I hate to say it, but I think that you are right. For the time being it doesn't look like Aaron has it.

David...I wish he never would have retired.  He had more in him.  Gross with Ordon dude....Grossman too.

Ryan....I agree....let's get that Seahawks thing revived.

Minnesota boy....you're QB is hurt.  You should have taken Brett when you had the chance.

Larry,
Football bores me, sorry about that and baseball, well that's the worst.   I love college basketball though.

"His pre-season looks solid so far." - Larry - are you watching the same games I am?? I don't see anything solid....

Aaron isn't the answer - maybe his 2 back ups are.... time will tell.

The real question is how well Jason Campbell will do under the new Skins coach.

I think Aaron Rodgers will actually have a better season than Brett.  Blasphemous, I know.  Packers just have a better team.  The only x-factor is Aarons durability...or lack of it.  If he stays healthy he'll be a top 10 QB.  That's a HUGE "if" though.

Go Pack GO!  Aaron Rodgers should lead to packers to a super bowl within 4 years.  He's a leader and has an arm with snap that is accurate.
