This is subject that I have posted on a couple of times and I got some relly great answers, I'm hoping that consumers will come across this post and learn a thing or two about how much money real estate agents really make. On the average 400k home, your agent may only alk away with 4k and some change after several months of open houses, online marketing exspenses, direct mail exspenses, advertising exspenses and the list goes on and on, I recently listed a home for 430k and after 4 months of work (110 hours approx) and after mulitple deals falling through and a slight commision cut to make the seller happy I took home a fortune of about $3500 if you do the math and look at the hourly rate it is not that impressive. I would love to hear from other realtors out there about THE GREAT FORTUNES THEY ARE MAKING! :) Matt
