Look for these daily newsbrief right here on Blogging About Redding:

•  Houses in Redding are becoming more and more affordable.  This is due in part to the high number of foreclosed properties and those in a short-sale (or pre-foreclosure) status.  Last summer the housing affordability in Redding was about 23%, this summer the affordability index rose to 36%.  This is more in line on what we call a "healthy real estate market".  Our local people should be able to afford buying instead of renting.

The opening of Trader Joesin Redding CA has been pushed back to 2009. We were anticipating a grand opening before the Holidays of this year but that is not the case.

Eco-friendly shops in Redding? Yes. ShopKo on Lake Boulevard is now carrying a new line of eco-friendly back-to-school items. The bright and shiny products are good for the environment and already selling like hot cakes!
