Why Are you up Late Night Blogging and Surfing Active Rain?

This post inspired me to blog after I received an invitation from Robert Swetz to join "LATE NIGHT AT ACTIVE RAIN".

Not a night owl by a long shot - are you? If you know me and most of you really don't know me personally, usually when I lie down on my comfy couch, it takes no time for me to fall asleep within few minutes, just like the man in the moon you see to my right, however lately, I've been up past 11:00 o'clock at night - still not considering myself an owl - not by a long shot. Is it because I'm watching too much Olympics or is it because my husband's work schedule changed where he leaves to go to work at 4:00 a.m. and is in bed no later than 9:00 p.m.? Maybe it is because he is in bed sleeping and I have time to myself since both of my daughters - one married with children - one in her senior year in college in North Carolina - have nothing better to do than to be up late night blogging and surfing Active Rain.

My business is a home office and I'm working by myself, I can blog when I want to - day and night - my Real Estate business is done through email, phone and by appointments. I'm blogging, reading and researching a lot, especially here on Active Rain. After I discovered AR, it became soon appearant to me that blogging is a must in the Real Estate business. Although, I have not made a sale because of my blogging, I do know that people reading my blogs tell me that they got my information from my blogs. That to me alone is very rewarding and encouraging to continue to blog.

It really doesn't matter when you blog, whether it is days, nights, evenings or early mornings - as long as you do it and keep doing it.

I'm still not convinced that I'm up late night on AR, partly because I'm up by 5:30 a.m. and I do need my beauty sleep. Again, thanks to Robert Swetz for the invitation which I gladly accept.

Great title. I think I do 95% of my blogging early morning or late night. Great way to wake up or unwind.

Great blog gets people thinking.

So have you used any of your blogging to educate your clients or to highlight the importance of the non for profits that you believe in?

I do the same thing, wait till everybody goes to bed and sneak up to grab my laptop and start checking on the blogs and writing my stuff around 10-11 pm and most times I don't make it to bed until 2-3 am. And the worst and best part is: I enjoy it and don't mind giving up a couple of hours of sleep for it.

Petra- I do most of my blogging at night because Late Night in front of the computer, it's my world.

I really think it's all about your time, how you feel about writing something like this, and when you feel like contributing. I just like reading how the rest of the country is doing at any given time. The better blogs reveal a few secrets that I can relate to and use in the future, to make business better.

Blogging will pay off soon.. It has for me. Now I can't remember my life before blogging.

When the kids are in bed and you have time to reflect on your day, it's a good time for a blog to be born!

It seems like things don't wind down until late at night. I think I do my best writting then.

I tend to do better early in the morning which means late night for me is anytime after 9:00pm. I promised myself earlier today I would be off the PC before 9:00pm tonight and here I am. (lol)

Petra, OK so what do we consider late night? Every comment here, other than Mike is before midnight. Oh they are all late night, after midnight it is called early morning blogging...do we have a group for that?

Margaret - I think it depends on the time zone. To me late night is after 11:00 p.m.. Maybe Robert Swetz, founder of the group would consider combining early morning and late night bloggin on AR.

Petra - Very well said and it shall be done!

Robert - Thanks for considering it - BTW, I'm sorry I spelled your name wrong - it must be the German in me, I'll make it right.

HI PETRA!

I've had many sleepless nighs since joining Active Rain, but they were well worth it. I've learned so much & made such great friends. It has become a part of my daily routine.
