I am a Realtor in Naples, FL. the land of extremes. Extreme wealth, extremely warm winter temperatures, extremely beautiful beaches and golf courses, extremely good art and theater, shopping and dining.
Extreme property appreciation during the boom from 2000-2005.
Extreme property devaluation from 2006-Today.
Naples was beginning to show some positive signs of turnaround.
The MLS listings were going down each month.
Prices on homes and condos have been falling steadily along with foreclosures and short sales all of which have combined to motovate Buyer's to get off the fence and buy their piece of paradise.
The number of Closed & Pending properties were more than same month, the previous year.
Developers stopped building residential real estate somewhere in 2006, and haven't started up again.
Then along comes Tropical Storm Fay.
She was a rainfall event in and around the Naples area. Some landscaping is leaning and some has been pushed down to the ground. That's about the extent of what Fay laid on the Naples area.
When she left town she headed NE and now looks like she will pop out into the Atlantic ocean and turn west to hit Florida the third time!
What will Fay do to those Buyer's who were ready to make their move?
Please tell me your thoughts on what you think Fay will do to residentail real estate sales in Florida?
