While driving down the street today, I came upon this amazing sight. I just had to turn my car around and take a few pictures. Have the Canadian Geese come back to Connecticut early. Does this mean we will be having a bad winter?

No, nothing like that at all. But the truth behind this picture is even more puzzling.

For some odd reason this homeowner has about 50 large plastic geese lined up in rows all along his driveway. They weren’t there a couple of days ago; think I would have noticed them. Are they “watch” geese? Did they have a huge sale of geese at the local discount store? I know I didn’t get the flyer.

Even the neighborhood kids had no clue as to why they were there. They kept peppering me with questions as I was trying to take some pictures.

I’m thinking about using this in my next marketing campaign. I believe it would be extremely unique. “Thinking of selling your home – Make sure all your ducks are in a row – Call Sandra!

Now does anyone know where I can get my hands on about 50 large plastic ducks cheap?

And they are lined up so precisely too, Sandra! The car is not getting out of the driveway and the garage is blocked as well...I'd love to know the real story behind why they are there and what in the world would make a person do this. Perhaps a practical joke by a friend?

Sandra I like that ............... LOL

But if you want some real geese all you have to do is stop by the farm around the corner from my house, and we will load up your car with all the live ones that you can handle ............... LOL

Maybe instead of T.Ping their home some kids decided to geese this home! LOL.

How's this for marketing...

"How do you expect to sell this house with all this goose _____ all over the lawn!"

Ok, now we all have to think of a better marketing plan than loser boy here ☝

Sandra, LOL, you're fu(*&^% with me! That freaked me out. I was about to call 911 ! What are you thinking? Plastic? Okay, we're a little unbalanced. Let's get back to speedos....whew. My heart.

Fine. I have to tell you this story...I mean reality. I sell houses out here by Lake Livingston. My second year in Real Estate ever was very scary. I had to show a mobile home on the lake that had a sign out in front that said, "Beware, Attack Goose." I laughed...he,he, wowser! Here comes the goose. His neck was stretched out with a vengance in his eyes and he was coming after me to wage war! I was scared half to death! I kept swinging my purse and swinging my purse and screaming "Go Away" and It "he" was as scared as me. He was mean.

Yes, I ended up selling the property but not without a few more gray hairs. I don't know what ended up happening to the goose but I would guess someone had a wonderful dinner one night. It was true. It was bad. All those plastic things should deter anyone and anything that should consider entering that yard. Uck. I'm glad it's just a picture. That many could take over our government!

I've seen PINK FLAMINGOS put all over someone's yard for a GAG before but never this! Wow! There is a company here in Brandon who will happily put this type of thing in someone's yard as a gag gift for a BIG BIRTHDAY...kind of like toilet papering but less clean up I guess.

You'll have to send us a PART II if you ever find out WHAT he was up to! That is soo crazy!!

Ohhh...and I bet your running hubby could "shoplift" a few everytime he goes down that street and bring them home. Eventually you too could have a flock! LOL

Lisa - I would love to know the real story behind this as well. It is just sooo weird. I image it took quite a bit of time to line them up so precisely. I can picture the guy being almost done and then one falling over. BOOM! They all go down like a stack of dominos. Time to start all over. Must have taken hours.

George - No thanks, I would think there would be less clean up involved with plastic.

Mana - That is an idea, but these are very large geese. I think if the kids in the neighborhood were walking around with plastic geese, someone would have noticed.

Andrew - Gee, at least I could figure out the blank in that one. hmm...do you really think that slogan will help me get more listings?

My Jen - I agree. Andrew, put your thinking cap on, and give me a better one.

Deb - I couldn't believe my eyes when I drove by this house. Actually turned around to take pictures of it and yes I know I have an odd sense of humor.

Ray - Thank you, I'm sure it is one of the better pictures of plastic geese any one has ever seen, but then again who goes around taking pictures of plastic geese?

Deb - lol...I'm sorry I shouldn't laugh. There is a small pond around here full of ducks and geese. People go there and feed them. The birds are quite aggressive and surrounded you. I never go there. I don't like chickens either. : -)

Susie - Wow a company will decorate your yard with pink flamingos? Maybe I should get some of these big plastic geese, could be a whole new business venture for me. How much to they charge?

Problem with these geese is they are very large - only 2-3 would fit in a trunk. Dan would need a truck.

That is way too cool! Great marketing idea.

That is the oddest thing I've seen all week, and I live with Scott so trust me I see a lot of odd things! You should call your local newspaper to do a story on it so we can all find out what all those geese are doing.

Bill - Yes, it was. I would think the homeowner owns the geese. Who else would put them there?

Sandra--How did you get them to like up and pose? We have tons of those Canadian Geese around here...Thankfully not in my yard...But I have never seen them lined up like that...The mess those poor people must have had on their driveway...Ewwww! Fun picture!

Teri - roflol...I'm cracking up here. Let me explain. For some unknown reason, this guy has plastic geese lined up on his driveway.

Mike - So true - and geese are much more common here then pink flamingos. Maybe it will start a new trend?

Too funny! Those plastic geese get me every time! I'll see them, think "wow, that's a lot of geese", and not realize they're fake until I pass them a few days later and they're in the exact same spot! lol I prefer pink flamingos...that way I know they're plastic!

My mom grew up in rural England. Her dad bought a small goose for Christmas dinner. My mom was 5, named the goose Gus, and then it became a family pet. Aggressive is an understatement. He would fly at people's faces to protect his yard. The mail man was more scared of Gus than the pit bull down the street!

Lara - I have no idea what the deal was, the geese are now gone. Maybe they flew North for the winter : )

Funny story. I hate to admit it but Geese and Chickens scare me. lol

Janna - Thanks for the kind words about the photos and I'm still stumped as to why they had these in their yard. As for the marketing idea, do you want to go half on some plastic ducks?
