Real Estate is Local / Community Video

Getting back from the Inman Connect Show in San Francisco a month ago one theme that has been in my mind has been that Real Estate is "LOCAL". After all your not just selling or buying a home your buying into a community, a neighborhood, a town, a school system, a place to live with your family. For this reason Video can be a HUGE advantage in explaining and showing a potential homeowner why this home / town / neighborhood is for them!

Obviously, most of you Realtors are not going to pay a professional money to shoot a community video. Maybe you will? But, that is the beauty of this is that it's up to you to express what you feel in the video... Check this one out of me and ZipvoMonty taking a walk outside our office in Downtown North Andover, MA 01845 :-) By of now...

I grew up in Andover, so I can't promote N Andover (rival). But, on another not, this is a great way to promote your real estate. I'm going to do it today!

Don't you think this is kind of amateurish for promoting a high end product such as real estate? Reminds me of someone's bad home movies - no offense.

Hey Terry, Thanks for the comments.. No I don't feel this is amateurish way of promoting Real Estate. No offense taken. This is an alternative from paying a professional videographer and an alternative to pictures with the "new" generation of homeowners and the use of the internet. It's up to you to decide how your going to market yourself, the property, town, neighborhood, ect... If you want to spend the money, pay a professional videographer to shoot a video that's great. The decision is yours and your budget. We feel this gives a true representation of what the town is.

I'm grew up in Andover as well..... :-)
