America's Smartest City

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Northwest Realtors, Inc. 425-308-3669

Seattle is America's smartest city! According to an analysis of educational data taken from the U. S. Census data by bizjournals.com, more than 40 percent of adults in Seattle have bachelor's degrees.

Second place is San Francisco, followed in third place by Austin.

I knew there was I reason I love this city! Besides the fabulous waterfront, mountain scapes to the east and west, fabulous universities and hospitals, the people are genuine and have a big heart.

Seattle.......you're the best.

Smartest, or most educated?
If Seattle were the smartest city around why hasn't it figured out mass transit?  Who gets credit for having I-5 run smack through the city?
Don't get me started on losing George Karl or Lou Pinella...

Karen, have visited Seattle and loved it too..not just because you ranked so high but because the people not the place always make traveling there so enjoyable.

Geordie, now you got me started on George Karl and Lou Pinella! We heard a rumor that Sweet Lou wants back? We'll see after this horrible year. First we had vanilla boy that's now in AZ and now idiot boy. What's this coming too.

And the Sonics - don't go there!!

I've never been In Seattle infortunately, but I really like the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" If the city is as sweet and warm as the movie, I am all for it. Can I go and visit anyone? :-)

Matt, Ben, Caleb and Karen - it is a smart city.  Of course, let's not leave out Star Bucks and all of the Mocrosoft folks that support it!

After living in Seattle for a while, I now live in Austin. For some reason I suddenly feel very intelligent!

Ive been there a couple of times I loved it. My friend lived there in a great townhouse  on the water with a private elevator that opened into the apartment. Right across the street were seaplanes. We took the seaplanes to Vancouver and Victoria. I saw glaciers it was so cool. I loved the market too.

I like Seattle too. I live in one of the dumbest Cities in the USA, no wonder I am feeling smart. Like the biggest fish in a small pond. You are just fortunate not to have major issues and a good educational system.

So, in other words, moving to the Seattle area would be considered a "Smart" move?

And here all this time I thought we moved here because its such a beautiful location!!!

Agreed: Education doesn't equate to intelligence. Not even close. Case in point? Most politicians are highly educated.

and i thought you were all coffee drinking, umbrella carrying, grunge rockers.

Seattle is perhaps my 2nd favorite West Coast city (but I'm biased)

Few things in this world can compete with early morning roing on Puget Sound
