I am new to real estate this year. It is far from easy and you definately have to have the support, both financially and emotionaly, from your family and friends. Not that the financial end of things are a piece of cake, but I think the emotional aspect is even harder. My family kept saying, "You'll have your first sale, just give it time." I think I even started avoiding people so they couldn't ask if I had made that first sale. Then finally after 6 months, I made it! It put me on a cloud and put my emotions back together. I have had a few sales now, but I definately have a better perspective that it does take time and a lot of energy.

Hard work, but it does pay off in the end.  We just have to keep working at it, but always be positive, if you believe in yourself you can do it.

My advice to everyone new to real estate although... after you get through your first year your not exactly new.  Call it relatively new.   Old or new, hook up with a great lender and title rep and your real estate life will be wonderful.

i know it seems hard when people talk about selling houses in a week or a few days and you can hardly find any to list!

Everytime something bad happens I try to refocus and move on. It is hard though getting started.
