I used to ask the question of "Who is Reading Activerain."  That was a long time ago when a reporter from the New York Times called me about an interview from a COMMENT I had made to a post here on Activerain.  Now I ask the question "Who ISN'T reading Activerain?"

No matter whether my posts are to the public or members only, I get a large amount of emails related to my posts, oftentimes with specific questions about something Feng Shui related.  In dealing with my own home restoration project, it wasn't long ago that I put up a members only question for some help on Color Choices for my bedroom.  So many people responded and I thank them all for their help (and, btw, I had chosen a color called Pink Amoire by Benjamin Moore when my restoration artist decided to prime the bedroom with a pink HE had chosen.  It's much "pinker" and brighter then I would have chosen but I actually like it! 

My recent post about the Village of Farmingdale and the flooding I had sustained has turned up two people that took the time to email me who had also had damage done from the same issue Village of Farmingdale Long Island New York--A must read for a resident of Farmingdale New York  It will be nice to be backed at the next meeting.

A recent post on Feng Shui and pets brought out all kinds of questions about specific pets and what can be done for them from a Feng Shui viewpoint.  Feng Shui and Pets--Pure Fire Energy by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City  I answer as many questions as I can possibly get to because I hope it helps people.

Carole, it was pointed out to me that many people ARE indeed reading what we write even if they don't comment. When you finally strike a chord with them they either comment to you or email you on the side. I am so happy it is working well for you. Your example here in the Rain is the best for all of us.

I'm often surprised by some of the emails I receive also....such a wide variety of folks find our articles and what we say strikes cords with so many.

I'm very glad to hear that some other residents have come forth and will back you at the next meeting...keep on keeping on!!! I think eventually the municipality will have to make restitution for some of the damage they've caused.

Carole ~ This is so true!!! Everyones reading. I read a lot of posts specially because Im always looking to improve how I Blog. I mean I 13 months ago I had no idea what a blog was ! funny but true. But by reading others blogs I educate myself on different styles. I owe most of my business to ActiveRain...so yes I agree ......."Who ISN'T reading Activerain?"    Great topic Carole!

Hi Carole!  Wow, I wish I would have gotten this sooner!  We are in the middle of paitning and I am SO busy that I didn't even have time to pick the colors.  I get so overwehlmed!  We are in a tight time crunch to move now too.  Who knows how it will look!

Carole -- I'm glad to know that having some red in a home is a good thing.  I have some red items in every main room here just because I love it.  But I'm really happy to hear about pets and Feng Shui.  I always knew that my little pal Darby O'Gill (D.O.G.) brought his own special energy to our space.  Thanks as always for the very helpful info.

That is a very powerful thought and post.  You are right... it seems that our writings could be getting a lot of potential readers, from all over.  It is a pretty amazing thought.  I am so glad that we found the community and the outlet to share some of our experiences in the blog world.  It seems that the new member of A/R is growing at a good clip and all of the posts get high google rankings in terms of searches so where it takes us... I dont know, but am excited about it !

Jo, I was thrilled to hear from them as well.  I don't know if it will help but there IS strength in numbers....and that is what we're getting.  The Village has not helped them as well....sigh.

Fernando, It's unbelievable as well where the emails come from---even though most of my posts are for Long Island and New York, they come from all over the U.S.

Sally, I just went there today, I can only show glimpses of it as Newsday may cover it as a Long Island Makeover, a series that they run.  But it is fabulous--I'll share something soon.

Cristal, I sure could have used this site instead of all those trips to the paint store (and all that money wasted!).  I'm glad they were kind enough to email me and at least we have a resource for next time--Good luck with your painting!!

Maureen, I was struck by your pets name and his initials---very creative and cute!  I love the energy my dogs bring into my space (even as they are adjustiing to the new one right now!).

Carol, What Gary said is very true, something you've written strikes a nerve and they mail call or email to ask a question or to hear more about my services.  I take time with people, they need to be completely comfortable with who they hire.

Chris, I started with articles YEARS ago because my webmaster insisted it would help.  Even articles that are years old are still coming up and I am still getting emails and calls from them.  Informative sites like Ezines and Selfgrowth are two of my favorites.

Deb, I am surrounded by color wherever I go, it is just amazing!  There is still a way to go but it honestly (and thankfully) does not look like my house---I love it!

People certainly are reading! I do love feng shui. I love the way it makes me feel while I am in a room that I have designed with those principles in mind. I did my office at work, and it feels so much more productive now. I even had another agent offer to pay me to help her do her office! I guess whatever energy I have in my office is indeed noticed by others!
