I follow a variety of blogs on the Internet. It never occurred to me that I could have my own blog until several weeks ago.  A friend of mine gave a talk about the phenomena of social media and how blogging was one component. I"m involved with different networking groups, but nothing on line until the last few weeks. Tammy Walker, our Sales V.P. kept telling me to check out active|rain.

Having researched more, (special thanks to Jeff Bernheisel at Real Estate Marketing World: http://activerain.com/jbernheisel) I believe that social media provides the human element that is missing from many on-line title company-client interfaces. Yes, real estate is loaded with technology applications, but in the end, even the most ardent Internet real estate shoppers want real people with a real faces to help them complete their transaction. That cute little submit button followed by a computer generated thank you, that's always the same, just doesn't give the warm and fuzzy feeling most of us look for in business relationships. Places like active|rain can help make that human connection.

As I looked around, it was clear that active|rain is the place to start. Everyone here is in the business. Everyone here is trying to figure out how to make this work for them. I'm excited to think about all that I'm going to learn and all the people that I'm going to connect with.
