Well today again, we had a delluge of feeder bands coming through south Florida. There was so much rain, I couldn't get to my car for over an hour.
Aventura is under over a foot of water. The rain in Fort Lauderdale amounted to over 2.5 inches.
This is worse than when hurricane Fay was a threat to our area.
That being said, there has been rumored that because of the massive amounts of water, snakes and alligators are coming up through the sewer drains in the roads and causing issues. The local 7 (WSVN) (FOX affiliate) news is telling people to stay out of the water as the sewage is not contained either...at least in Aventura. The water levels are up to the fender's of compact cars and up to the running boards on trucks...
Reason for the post is...keep your children and pet's in sight and don't go out unless you have to and be careful.
When the rain's come...the animals are also looking for safe ground.
Stay indoor's unless you have good outside lighting at night.
Anyone else in Florida feeling the same pain?
