Two fun cats!

Last year I had communication from someone who wanted to move from Baltimore to the country.  They decided to look at Searcy after doing extensive searches on the internet.

First trip they just looked around and went back to place their house on the market.

Then they came back with the intent to buy!  Lucky me!  We found them a house in a beautiful part of the country with a basement!!  We don't have basements in this area.  Only foolish people build houses with basements in the south.  And this house with a basement wouldn't sell because it had a basement.  Southerners know better.

They knew and loved basements so it was just waiting for them.  They bought it, left Baltimore and settled in our area.  They still come to see me.  He calls me Mom and she and I go out to eat and catch up.

They stopped by a few days ago to show me their newest toy.  For some reason "cats" came to mind to describe these two fun people riding around on a fun contraption.  Say hello to my friends, Cowboy and Nancy!

Barbara:  This makes all the sense in the world to me.  All these guys are is frustrated hippies looking for a place to be themselves.  It looks like you did a great job in finding them such a place.  So... did you get to go for a ride in their cool yellow bike/trike ?

Now that I think about it, though, perhaps Searcy would be a great town for retiring hippies... LOL.  That would include me... the former hippie junior high teacher in the 1970's.  Take care...

Perhaps you could ask these guys where in Baltimore you could put a little "teaser" ad... advertising to their friends that Searcy is a retired-hippie-friendly town.  It could turn into a great niche for you.

Barbara - great that you could find them a place. In this part of the south people like basements. What's the deal in Searcy?

That's the great thing about this business, isn't...all the fun and interesting (and sometimes challenging) people we get to meet!

Karen Anne, I must see a picture of you as a hippy school teacher!  I taught Junior High one year and decided it was a true battle field.  Kids are so up-tight with looks and hormones and worries!  I moved on to High School and it was a little better.  My female friend on the bike was being taken for lunch by the husband so she didn't have on her full hippy outfit.  He lives in his.

And, no, you won't catch me on that thing!

Mike, this was a full fledged underground basement with no exit except up the stairs.  We have a lot of walk-out basements but very few like this one.  They have to have sump pumps run all the time and since our water table is so high, they tend to fill up with water or mold or moisture.  And they smell musty all the time.  Southerners have sensitive noses!  LOL

I can't imagine you in Athens having full basements either.  But you do?

James, they offered me a ride but I politely declined with a statement like, "!@$%, are you crazy!  I'm not getting on that thing! "   Now tell me why that formed a hyperlink?????

Ron Tarvin's Team, actually he wasn't a cowboy when he came.  I crowned him as one because he is about 6'7" tall, has a flat belly that would look wonderful with one of those huge cowboy belt buckles, wore jeans well and had terrific muscles!  He could rustle cows with the best of us.  BUT, he still has that Yankee accent!

P. S.  I forgot to ask him if he can ride a horse........oh well......

Yes I am back!  Was on the road for 2 weeks straight including weekend.  Doing something new, in my Top Technology Trends Class I collect business cards from agents who want to start blogging.  I am sending them invitations and they are starting to blog.  It's nice seeing all those points piling up!

Good luck on that.  My only points gatherer is Mary.  Your inspiration wore off quickly from the others who did maybe one blog.  You may have so many points you won't have to blog at all!!

Barbara, I'll bet they are one of the only couples in Searcy with a contraption like that.  Somehow I think they probably like being the only one with that contraption also.  They do look like a fun couple.  I'm sure it was an enjoyable transaction.

Marchel, they bought it on ebay, I believe, and they were trying it out.  Thanks for comments.

The 2 fat cats, in that picture :

Great picture Barbara { ecspeically of the guy driving :}  .  I purchased the Trike off ebay, from a builder in Missouri who has been making them for 20 + years.  I like it much better then a normal motorcycle and it steers suprisingly well. I still plan on keeping my little gas scooter that gets 100 mpg .  Every hippie needs a scooter !

Special thanks to Barbara Duncan for finding our new home in Arkansas. Ive had experience with several Baltimore based realtors before moving out here, and none of them were even close to Barbaras friendly, truthful and knowledgable personality .
