Scottsdale Arizona home builder Charlevoix Homes (Copperleaf Communities) filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and company founder Michael Roberts has filed for personal bankruptcy in the wake of the declining housing market.

Charlevoix was planning and building communities in Phoenix, Glendale, Chandler and other Greater Phoenix Arizona area locations.

Investors, lenders and contractors are likely to get only a small portion of what they are owed.

This was nothing but a scam all along.  Fraud, using investor monies to live and purchase the 5.5m home bought, Bought the best cars, robbed Peter to pay Paul with investor monies.......  Why now, why not when employees were complaining and being offered thousands of dollars to quit the company after letter was sent to investor group in 2005, in regards to investor monies being used for other than company business.  Owner gave himself hundreds of thousands a year for salary on a new company not even off it's feet. Amazing how greed overtakes.
