10 Comments on The Southwest Marina and Fish Market
Patricia, there is not much better food than fresh caught and cooked fish from the sea! Oh, how I love it. In Galveston Bay we will go to the shrimping boats and buy pounds of fresh shrimp and go back to boil it up! Yum.
I don't think they're wierd...do you?
Later in the rain~Deb
I haven't made it to the fish market this year. Guess I have been so busy working on the weekends that I forget about eating. You just reminded me that I haven't picked crabs once this season...bummer!
We would be in HEAVEN there! This entire family is crazy over seafood! When Liam was 3 he was with us at a restaurant eating oysters. (Steamed) He spoke up and let us know that he wanted one - he LOVES them! When he was younger he used to call scallops "ball shrimp" - I have NO idea where that came from - anyhow, the place looks like it would be just what this family needs! I don't think I ever met anyone that lived on a boat and I have met some characters!
Pat, I love the Maine Avenue seafood market. It's something about the atmosphere of an outdoor fish market that's invigorating. The fish is fresh and tastes great!
Pat,
I would love the opportunity to visit the fish market and pick out fresh fish daily. What a selection to be had.
Pat,
Great photos. I love fish markets, be it in Korea, Italy or back home. Always interesting and the bounty amazes me and makes me wonder if it can go on forever.
Pat, I have not been to the fish market in ages. I love it there. I DO think the guys down there living on their boats are a bit strange? Thanks for the reminder that I need to make a trek back down that way.
Pat, I just realized we haven't been to the fish market this year - actually we haven't been to DC this year. Well, we still have time
I do like fresh fish and looks like you found a great spot.
I had no idea this place existed......wonder if my son knows...........I will be forwarding this blog on to him. Thanks, Pat!!!!!!!!!
