In all you do, make it intentional.

If you are waiting in the doctor's office - use that time. Don't waste it thinking that you are wasting it.

You can never, ever, get that moment back.

If you can‘t relax, do something active like making a list, checking through your appointment book, or cleaning those extra things out of your purse or wallet. Read a book, strike up a conversation with a future client. If all else seems impossible - just spend your time THINKING.

This does not mean you can never relax and take it easy. It means pay attention to the moments you are relaxing. If it is relaxing in the doctor's waiting room, do it deliberately. If you are relaxing on the beach, do it deliberately, and be in that moment. Allow yourself the pleasure... Enjoy it to the fullest!

That moment can never be replaced, so focus! Whether it's your son or daughter asking a question, or your spouse telling you what their day was like... Focus.  Savor that moment.

Working, playing, relaxing...  Be intentional & focus.

Never waste precious time.   You cannot live that moment over again.

Butterfly by Kim WoodI took this last week, thought you'd like it. I feel the same way.... and fish... and ants....everything they do is so purposeful and intentional. We should learn to do the same.

I find myself reminding Me of this very thing when stuck in traffic. Use the time to enjoy the music, listen to an educational tape/cd, or take the time for some good brainstorming.  (Ok, even a phone call).  There isn't any sense in getting upset!

Thanks for your reminder. I hope I remember it when I need to.

And I don't think I welcomed you to ActiveRain - WELCOME!  And nice to 'meet' you!

Lynn, What a delightful post. I found this by reading Cynthia's week in review and I agree with her. I am now going out on my porch to intentionally watch my birds feeding.

Lynn, I love that you honor and respect the value of time, and that is fleeting. Very good.

Hi Lynn,

I love the butterflies too! In my area, in Durham, they release butterflies at the Durham Museum of LIfe and Science everyday. What a blessing! I brought my sisters two little boys there when she visited a week or so ago.  What fun!

Great photo!

Hi Lynn - I am Lynne in Redondo Beach....www.teamatthebeach.com- and I am with you in the butterfly love energy..

I see white butterflies all over and I feel it is a message from my mom of her eternal love

twinkling and shining around me. I love her so much, and it is how I feel close.

I see the white butterfly in weird seasons for them and in places you could not expect..

Its nice to have a kindrid spirit

Ah, focus.  That is one I am constantly trying to master.  my poor kids and husband are constantly talking to me but I am so busy doing something, or thinking something that I could not tell you what they said.  Then I regret the time that has passed when i look at how big my children are getting.
