I just love midtown Sacramento. It offers so much style, history and artful properties.  I got a call a few weeks ago from one of my favorite REAs. He said," Lori, I am going to redo this condo for my client and I need your help". Holy Guacamole... what a project.  We turned a totally mauve (sorry Terrylynn, know you love mauve), condo into a beautiful showcased home.  I gave him a vacant report which included upgrades, paint and flooring. WOW... talk about a realtor who really wanted to sell this condo. The seller gave him a budget and we were able to work within her means.

You know folks... sometimes it does make a difference when you give of yourself. I offered my assistance to my Realtor because he needed it for a buyer's eye on painting lighting and upgrades.

WE SOLD THE HOME IN 4 DAYS... yep, 4 days. Not only did it sell, but it got us 3 new listings. Think about your realtors... what can you do for them to help get a move on this market? Now is the time to think creatively. Mauve is out... but make it mauvelous!

In our market, white walls don't do it...there's a range of beiges and tans that do, on up to what I call "coffee ice cream" color.  Doesn't cost any more, and has a rich warmth that looks "designer."

Nicely staged!

It would be impossible to know just how long this house would have been on the market without your vision, advice, and beautiful staging. But I guarantee it would have been a lot longer than four days! This home owner/SELLER and Realtor must be very, very happy with you. This is the kind of work that makes us all proud to be home stagers.

Lori

Do I wish this worked in Wisconsin. Everyone has a pretty neat home, but yard is a big factor.

Sincerely

Oh by the Way, LOVE your new header up there, your new photo too.  AND, your staging as always is just beautiful, tasteful and so not formula staging. LOVE it.

Maureen... thank you for stopping by girl. How are you my Oregon friend? Yes, I always have to throw in some of my own work. No pics this time but some of the pottery is ;)

Michele... it was quite the transformation. I am still waiting for my REA to give a good after of the kitchen. mine didn't turn out. The kitchen was all oak wood before and now it is painted... it looks Fab.

Suzanne... yes, I agree. The walls actually are painted a Manhatten Tan and the trim is white coffee, so it isn't as white as the pictures. I don't like stark white either.

Joelle... hey you! Nice to see you back ;) It was quite the project and it is amazing what a little piant can do.

Peg... Thank you! It would still be on the market for sure. It got multiple offers and as of yesterday... they are still countering OVER list price.

Tom... My special friend ;) Yes, you do have more land in Wisconsin. I think what sold it was the wine, strawberries, cheese, and sandwiches at the OPEN actually... remember those little roll ups ;)))

Lori,

Great transfomation!  It's amazing how quickly the look and feel of a room can change with a can of paint!  I have to admit I was a Mauve and Mint lover back in the 80's!  Glad I got over that really quick!

I love staging and think it can sell a home that has been sitting stagnant on the market.  If sellers would open their minds and realize that it is not personal when you suggest staging their home.  As your pictures show above, it can make a room go from just a spare junk room to a place you want to hang out and invite your friends!

Lori,

Everything that goes around comes around. I hope it's a long time before that mauve comes back.

Gorgeous job as usual and I'd like to see more of your own artwork!
