I have seen these type of posts before but I guess I need to add mine to the batch. I just hit two months with Active Rain and passed 33,000 points.

So, what does that mean? So far, it has meant getting calls from California about USDA rural programs in Oregon (apparently there aren't a lot of rural areas in San Francisco). It has meant getting a call about the FHA Hope program from New Hampshire which I referred to someone in that area. It has meant getting a call about the Springfield Farmers' Market because I was the one that they found online. (I referred this one to the city.) I got an inquiry about Reverse Mortgage that I am still working on. And I have found myself going from unfindable (is that a word) to number 1 & 2 on Google searchs. I also got a call for quotes for a couple of articles for an online Real Estate magazine.

Additionally, I sent e-mails with links to my blog to the local newspaper to set myself up as a local expert. Nothing her yet, but they did acknowlege receipt.

I think it is working but being the type of guy I am, I would like to see clients lining up at my door as a result of the knowledge I have put out there. Maybe next week. I have tried to make longtailed key words a part of my blog. I got my first reblog this last week. Overall, I feel pretty good but am not satisfied. Not sure I ever will be completely satisfied with my efforts.

So, what do you think? Am I on track? Should I be doing something different than I am? What is my next step? Or is what I have been doing a lot of bull?

Hard work, effort, consistency and determination. Doesn't happen over night...but it DOES happen. I've been here a year and a half and I've been successful closing transactions and with more contacts and leads than I ever imagined could happen from online marketing :)

2 months and 33,000 points!? You are a MACHINE Fred! And I mean that as a compliment.

I don't see how your efforts could lead to anything other than success. I find great value in what I read on your blog, and I agree with Sally - your good work will pay off!

Fred - looks like you might be ahead of the curve. I have started to get some interest trickling in and a few more pops to my website and other blogsite from my activities here. Way to go.
