Oak Forest subdivision is in Travis County and within the City of Austin. The area is also located in the highly acclaimed Round Rock Independent School District. Located within the neighborhood, Kathy Caraway Elementary School has received the Presidential Blue Ribbon Award for excellence. There are currently 565 students and 34 teachers, yielding a student-teacher ratio of 15.6. Last year, Canyon Vista Middle School was named a Blue Ribbon School for the second time, a first for a Texas school.
