From when I can remember my family always got up at 5:30am in the morning and we went to see the balloons go up at Memorial Park. As a little girl I couldn't wait to go see all the beautiful colors and hoped I would be able to touch the balloon as it was getting the air in it. As an adult I look forward to seeing the look on my kids faces as they get to see the balloons go up. What has changed since I did it as a little girl? The first one is Starbucks. Now we have to do the drive thru at the local Starbucks to get coffee for everybody. The 2nd thing, we go to the Cracker Barrel afterwards for breakfast.
If you can munster enough energy to get up at 5:30 and take yourself to this great event that has been going on for 32 years. Please go, you will not be disappointed. We just love it and look forward to doing it every Labor Day weekend.
