Two Heads are Better Than One-- And So are Two Chapters!

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Clemens & Sons Realty

Combining our Avon chapter (The Valley BNI) and the Bristol chapter (Towpath Networkers BNI) of BNI Connecticut resulted in Triple rewards.   As we brainstormed for an end-of-the-summer event, our members considered many activities:  a visitor's day, an evening get-together...  But it was the combined meeting of the two chapters that won out.  It may have been two chapters, but we reaped three times the benefits!

The Valley BNI membersWe met at our regular meeting place, regular meeting time--- Fresko's Grill in Avon, Thursday, 7:30 AM, and attendance was high. Tammy Kroll of Arbonne International and Carol McCarthy of New Era Telecommunications are shown here welcoming everyone.  All of our members can be found on our webpage.

Each chapter brought occupations to the meeting that the other chapter was missing. What an opportunity to meet someone in that field! What an opportunity to recruit another representative of that field! Even members of the same occupation were finding complementary associations. Immediate one-to-one meetings were scheduled, and new business relationships began.

Thank You to the Towpath Networkers for joining us. We look forward to visiting your chapter soon. And, as we celebrate our 5th anniversary as a BNI chapter, thank you to all my fellow members. For your referrals, for your instruction, for your friendship. Congratulations to us all, and Happy Networking!

If you're reading this, and you don't know what BNI is--- go to www.BNI.com right away, and find out.  Do yourself that favor.  Join a chapter, or start a chapter.  At the very least, adopt the "Giver's Gain" philosophy.  You'll be glad you did!

That's a wonderful unity of networking at its finest!!  I bet you all realized how much time, effort and resources you all saved by joining forces.  Good Job!!!    ;>)

Hi Debbie - I had the great honor of meeting Ivan Misner at a SendOutCards.com convention last week.  I walked out into the lobby before he was scheduled to meet and he was wandering around and I introduced myself.  He is a very warm and accessible man and I am proud to belong to BNI.  As you probably know, BNI has a strategic alliance with SendOutCards.com.  Both share the philosophy of givers gain. (SendOutCards is "Send to Give")  Ivan Misner, as well as Norm Dominquez (CEO of BNI) are heavy users of SendOutCards.  Belonging to BNI as a real estate agent or mortgage broker is very competitive.  If someone applies to your chapter for those positions and its not available, recommend that they join under the category "Greeting Cards."  (Of course, they need to join SendOutCards first.)  They will expand their network for real estate phenomenally as a member of both BNI and SOC.  If they want further information go to www.SendoutCards.com/46417 or call me at 831-262-8192.
