Thanks all who responded, I am not sure that it is where we want it to be yet... but I am hopeful.  I certainly didn't want to sign up for communities and see no benefit from it.

When you talk about referrals, I have yet to see one.  How are you all going about getting referrals from activerain?

I know this is all new ways of doing business... but I sure could use a road map: )

I haven't received a referral yet either. I guess it is blogging at the right place and the right time! Have a good week!!

No referrals yet for me but plenty from Google, which could be attributed to AR.

Hi Bonnie - Most of my business from ActiveRain has come from buyers or sellers who either email or call me directly. Very seldom do they leave comments on my blog. For Localism, I agree that it's a little unclear right now, but have faith that the AR Team will make it a viable site. Even without sponsoring a community, you can still get some great search engine results (as well as Top Neighbor recognition) by providing consistent, quality content. That's the secret ... keep writing good, solid posts on ActiveRain and Localism about your market area and the leads will follow.
