The VP roll out...... The carbon footprint!

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty World Florida

What a VP roll out!

I just have 1 question for Senator Obama, the Obama campaign, the Democrat party.....

How much of a carbon footprint did you create to transport Senator Biden from his mother's home in Delaware to Springfield, Illinois and back again to Delaware all within a 6 hour period?

You had to send all the vehicles, motorcycles & motorcades all over the place back and forth from homes to airports and then of course had to fly using that jet from state to state and again all within a 6 hour or so time frame.

So of course this shows the priority of the choreographed Obama campaign to present the VP at a place of what Senator Obama sees as important to his success or rock star personality rather than a conviction for "saving the planet"

I wonder if the Democrats and/or the Obama campaign purchased any of the Al Gore carbon offsets?

If our planet was in such peril as the environmentalists and their liberal allies claim; they would take the so-called carbon footprint from travel more seriously.

And they say the care about the planet.

Do republicans get pass from you, Bush once took a 747 from New Orleans 82 miles to Baton Rouge. He also has taken more vacation time than any other sitting President. Guess what all those vacations he took he was burning fossil fuels. Give me a break!

He doesn't hypocrytically run around stating that he's going to save the planet from some unproven wealth transfer hoax called global warming.

So you think Global Warming is a hoax?  I am sorry to say that you are not keeping up with scientifice theory and actual statistics.

It sounds more like you must be behind on the scientific theories and actual statistics, John. Many more scientists are finding theories in direct conflict with what you perceive to be actual and truth.

As a matter of fact there are even some scientists who were once in the corner of global warming theory and are now reversing their support with contradicting data studies.

This is far from a settled or as many of the folks on the left like to say "consensus" to global warming.

Furthermore, it still digresses from the original discussion on the hypocrisy of the left elites and the attention to a so-called carbon footprint.

I'm sure that during a presidential campaign season, both sides use up a lot of jet fuel, as does the president with Air Force I.  There's a lot to criticize on both sides, but I can't get too upset about flying Biden from his home in Delaware to Springfield.  I'll save it for something that really pisses me off!  But then, I also drive a gas guzzling Lexus.

Patricia:  I hear ya. And it is a bit tedious of a discussion but the GOP aren't the one's running around talking about the need to save the planet. This rhetoric is standing in the way of America becoming energy secure with more drilling and nuclear.

It's all based on the same global warming hoax of garbage by the left and then they don't even attempt to focus priorities to themselves to surround their convictions. They need to put on a dog and pony show and TELL the American public how "green" they are with during their convention.

Total hypocrisy and they are obstructing the will of the American people who want to Drill Here! Drill Now! Pay Less!

I can't stand Joe Biden and it pains me that people will now associate him and his horrible politics with Delaware. I wish we had term limits... I think that would solve this whole political congressional mess. The man was elected when he was 29 years old... What does he know about the private sector? He lives in a $2 million dollar plus house (You can trust me on this as this is my market) and says he is for the "common folk".

Billie:  Thanks for sharing.

I am a believer that term limits can help but we might be better suited to adjust the term for Senate down to 4 years.  I believe that the people need to become more engaged in the political system and that if we don't like our elected officials; we can get rid of them at the ballot boxes. Which in and of itself is a form of term limits.  It's a shame that more folks don't get out to vote and involve themselves.

I do trust you on the Biden factor and trust me when I say that me and I believe many others are going to do what we can to make sure that this Obama/Biden ticket never materializes to the Presidency.

Who knows, maybe Hillary will do it for us.

I'm with ya on the global warming hoax, Owen - how can there be a scientific consensus? Science is made of facts...There may be climate change, which is a natural occurrence, and it will continue to change as it always has. I remember in the 70's when headlines were all about us going into another ice age.

John - I believe it is you that is not keeping up with science. More and more are now speaking out against global warming. But, that is beside the point. By bringing up Bush you are doing the typical avoidance of the issue. The issue is, was the VP sideshow worth the carbon emissions that the erstwhile Senator and the Democrat (note, not -tic) party are so concerned about. It appears not.

Owen - a much better issue than how many owned properties are too many.

Susan: Exactly. When I was a kid my liberal folks used to run around stating how bad the aerosol spray cans are and that there's this huge hole in the earth & it's all coming to an end.. bla...bla...bla

Mike: I hear ya on the real estate issue. It's ubsurd
