The 26^th Annual  Alamo Wine and Music Festival, hosted by the Alamo Rotary, is a community celebration benefiting the Alamo community and our schools' music programs while providing a variety of activities for the entire family.  It has come to be known as the Alamo Block Party.  This 26^th annual Alamo Rotary event will be held 2-11 pm Saturday, September 6^th at the Alamo Plaza.

Headlining this event will be the "Fabulous Cruise Tones", who will feature music from the late '50s up to the hits of today for dancing under the stars beginning at 8:00 pm.  Aja-Vu, a popular light rock band will also play.   In addition, school music groups will perform starting at 2:00PM. The Alamo Elementary School Choir, the San Ramon High School Band, the Monte Vista High School Band and the Jazz Band from Monte Vista will be featured.

The day will be filled with activities for the entire family.  Food, games and business booths will be set up throughout the festival area.  Kids will enjoy the play zone set up by the Mt. Diablo Regional YMCA and the Alamo Park and Recreation.  The popular Rock Climbing Wall will be repeated this year. 

Dinner tickets are a modest $17.00 and feature selections from Forli's, Faz and the Rotary BBQ.  Dinner will be served from 5:30 until 8PM.  To help keep family costs down, there will be inexpensive hot dogs and chips for the kids.

The festival will also feature wine tasting with wines from a number of California vineyards and people may purchase commemorative wine glasses at the event.  Special Music Festival polo shirts will also be available for sale.

Alamo Rotary Club will donate proceeds to local school programs and community charities including the music programs at these local schools: Alamo Elementary, Rancho Romero Elementary, Stone Valley Middle School, Monte Vista High School, San Ramon Valley High School, Lucille Mauzy School.
