Yesterday I did the south side of the valley with Inspirada, today it's Aliante in the north. It's a beautiful setting bordered by the Sheep Mountains and the Desert National Wildlife Range. This Master Planned community has over 1165 acres available for residential development and 100 for commercial shopping, dining, and entertainment.
It also hosts one of the 4 Sun City Active Adult Age Restricted neighborhoods, and an 18 hole 6900 yard par 72 golf course. Soon to open is Aliante Station Hotel and Casino on 11-11-2008. That will add over 1000 new jobs just at the resort.
About 482 acres or roughly 22% of the project area is used for the course, parks and trails. The central 20 acre Nature Discovery Park is located on Aliante Pkwy. It has a lake with large and small waterfalls and a number of birds and turtles. There is a very nice playground for the kids, open space, and shaded pavilions for picnicking.
There are also many activities held in the parks, including outdoor family movies and concerts. North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation also holds it's own community events close to the area, just like you'll find in Henderson. Upcoming September 19 - 21 is the hot air balloon - Baloonapalooza III at Craig Ranch Regional Park.

Roberta - Very nice photo Tour of Aliante, I will have to get up there and take a look. I have some friends that did much of the glass work in the buildings. Thanks!
Robert: Thanks! I hope everyone got to see it. I heard there was a glitch with Internet Explorer playing the embedded shows today, but they've got it fixed. Firefox / Mozilla did work for some reason. Anyway, you should take a trip up there, a lot is happening and Aliante Station looks like it will be very nice!
