NYS APPRAISER CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES
Licensed, Licensed Assistant, Certified Residential and Certified General Appraisers must complete 28 hours of approved continuing education (including the 7 Hour USPAP Update Seminar) before you renew your appraiser license in NYS. We offer both Traditional and On-Line Courses to meet the 28 hours of appraiser continuing education. An important 4 hour class explaining the HVCC Code of Conduct and how it will effect the way an appraiser does business in NYS. The Home Valuation Code of Conduct Class is expected to be mandated for all appraisers throughout the USA. An important class explaining how web based data is used in the development of an appraisal report, in USPAP compliance. We have compiled an informational manual of web based sources for NY Appraisers. Some of the web data is free, others is subscription based. Home Inspectors visually inspect all major components of a residential home. Although not structural engineering, these Reports serve a viable purpose for buyers, sellers, investors and other interested parties. Most Home Inspectors open their own firms, once licensed in NYS. Licensing is mandatory in NYS to perform Home Inspections. Educational requirement is 100 hours, Field Inspections are 40 hours. Passing NYS State Test required. What is a Home Inspection? A Non Invasive visual examination of the physical structure and systems of the home, from foundation to roof. A home inspector is trained to be a detective in regard to the construction and working parts of a home in New York State.
