Just three months ago things were somewhat stale concerning rent increases. But here in the last two months things are picking up.
Partially due to the demand being strong, schools are beginning causing a huge rush for families to get settled and of course the number of foreclosures still growing. I have noticed 10-20% increases in rental values vs this time last year. WOW! Not sure how long it will last, but I hope to see values continue to increase and give investment owners a break.
I think some of the rental property values will maintain themselves through the end of the year, but really we won't know until spring of 2009 what we have to look forward to.
